Supporting All to Thrive (SATT)

This project is investigating the educational opportunities, experiences and outcomes of children with additional learning or support needs and/or disabilities from UK Armed Forces families.

We want to understand their educational pathways, experiences and attainment. The project findings will help support policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders to target resources to ensure they get consistent provision and support. Ultimately the aim is to support all children to thrive.

The project is funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, under the MOD Armed Forces Family Fund Research Grant programme.

About the SATT project

What do we know about military children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

As highlighted in a recent workshop hosted by the Royal British Legion, the needs of military children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is emerging as an important area for understanding potential challenges and needs for support in the form of enhanced policies and service provision for military families.
