Survey

What is the survey for?

It is looking into the educational experiences of school-age children with additional needs. It will ask about your child’s current education, their education over time and your feelings about the educational support your child has had.

Who is the survey for?

  • Parents or carers of a child aged 4-18 with additional needs in UK education or in MOD schools overseas;
  • Any families, not just Service families;
  • You can take part whether your child has been diagnosed with additional needs or not;
  • You can take part if your child is currently out of education for any reason.

How long will the survey take?

  • Between 10 and 25 minutes, depending on your circumstances.
  • If you want to give a lot of extra information it could take longer.
  • You can decide how much you want to tell us.
  • You can save it and come back to it later if you wish.
  • It will remain open until 31st January 2025.

How do I take part?

If you would like to complete the survey by telephone, please email clairelee@brookes.ac.uk or tel: 01865 603398.

Art Workshops

What would an art workshop involve?

  • Taking part in an informal, small group art workshop to tell us about your child’s or your own educational journey.
  • The workshops will be held in various locations and take about 2.5 hours.
  • Materials and refreshments will be provided.
  • You don’t have to be artistic in any way!

Who can take part?

  • Parents or carers of a Service child aged 4-18 with additional needs.
  • Recent school leavers aged 16-25 who were Service children with additional needs.
